Sheikh Dr. Ali AbdulRahman Al-Huthaifi, Imam of the Masjid al-Nabawi on 5 March 2021 in his Friday Khutbah on Allah’s Favours, Peace and Tranquillity, said, “Allah Subhanahu wa Taala says remember the Favours of Allah, He sent the Books and Messengers and be observe Taqwa with Allah as Allah is aware of all the things. One of the Thankfulness is that in Surat–ul-Rahman that Allah Subhanahu wa Taala says O human being and Jinn which Favours of Allah do you deny? So Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam said that human beings are very irresponsive but when I read this Surat-ul-Rahman on Jinn they are very very interactive and responsive; they say we do not deny any of Yours Favours Allah Subhanahu wa Taala.”
He also mentioned, “One of the best Favours Allah Subhanahu wa Taala has given us His Faith and Trust in Allah Subhanahu wa Taala and peace and tranquillity which is necessity of Iman. Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam urged us to ask Allah for forgiveness and for the peace. So the best Niyamah after Faith is peacefulness and serenity and tranquillity. So living in peace without being afraid of others and enemies Allah Subhanahu wa Taala bestows His Mercy by granting us peace and tranquillity. As Allah Subhanahu wa Taala says to Quraish that O Quraish worship Allah because Allah has granted you serenity and peace. Why don’t you see around the earth people are kidnapped and hurt but We have made the Haram and the land of Islam the land of peace and tranquillity. So our Prophet Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam has reminded us that those who are living in peace and safe at their houses and they have their daily provisions they have everything in on the earth, they are the most fortunate people of the earth.”
The Imam of the Masjid al-Nabawi said, “Peace and serenity and tranquillity is the highest Favour one can have from Allah Subhanahu wa Taala because with the peace we enjoy all the bounties of life. Many of us do not value the peace and tranquillity and the ease what we enjoy without being afraid of enemies. With the peace we enjoy everything and we facilitate every thing.”
Imam of the Masjid al-Nabawi mentioned, “Islam equals peace. Islam equals peacefulness and wherever Islam went on the earth, anywhere, it prevails peace and tranquillity for long time. Khabbab ibn Aratt Radiallahu Anhu said that when Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam was sitting next to Kaaba and non-Muslims were torturing Muslims, I asked Ya Rasulullah, why don’t you ask Allah to grant us peace and victory over this people. Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam said: why don’t you? You are in a hurry. People before you they were tried and tested with the severest punishment. Let me assure you that this Deen, this religion will complete and people from across Arabia, from Hadramouth to Kaaba, they will come without any fear of anybody. Adi ibn Hatim was told that O Adi, you will live longer to see a lady alone can travel from the farthest part of Arabia to Kaaba fearing nothing but Allah Subhanahu wa Taala.”
Sheikh al-Huthaifi said, “Peace has been prevailing in Arabia and around the world wherever religion of Islam is established and wherever Islam went around the earth. Among the objectives of the religion is to secure and save the bloodshed, save your health from all the things which derogate your health and saving the people’s reputation and honour and safety of property and belongings – the safety of life, safety of health, safety of honour, safety of property is – all guaranteed fundamentally from the objectives of the Shari’ah.”
“Similarly, there are other protections built in within the Islamic society, enjoying good and forbidding evil, not harming and hurting anyone else and worshipping the only Allah who is Rahman and Rahim – who is very Merciful, very Kind on humanity. With the Qur’an and the Sunnah, we achieve the utmost peace and tranquillity around the globe. The people’s law and other system – they create conflict and disturbances and social conflict around the earth. Allah Subhanahu wa Taala has said those who believe and do not mix it with other things, with sinful, then they are really guided and they are in security and peace from Allah in this world and the Hereafter. As Allah Subhanahu wa Taala has assured us that those who do good deeds as while beliving in Islam We will grant them the joyful and nice life in this world. Allah knows what we are doing,” the Imam of the Masjid al-Nabawi mentioned.
Sheikh Al-Huthaifi said, “Total security and peace is only with total guidance and total obedience to Allah Subhanahu wa Taala. Eventually, Jannah, the Garden of Peace, is the ultimate abode of peace and tranquillity as Allah Subhanahu wa Taala has mentioned in the Qur’an. With the peace and security Allah grants us facilities to establish life and to do business and enjoy the facilities and the provisions of life and work everywhere. And with peace and security we can hope the society to unite around it and all the facilities of life becomes enjoyable and the best thing is that all the Signs of Allah, all the symbolic actions of Islam – like prayer, Zakah and Hajj and all the Penal code – all things are established and these are to re-enforce peace and security of the others. Allah Subhanahu wa Taala urges us to establish prayer and keep safety – save all the prayers.”
“Wherever there is a peaceful situation, remember Allah and establish prayer and even for the Hajj, allah Subhanahu wa Taala says those who enjoy peace and tranquillity for the Hajj and Umrah then they should do be thankful to Allah,” mentioned the Imam of the Masjid al-Nabawi.
Sheikh Al-Huthaifi said, “The connection between peace and security is very very deep with all the actions, all the symbols of Islam as Allah Subhanahu wa Taala says that Allah is promising those who believe and those who do good deeds that they will grant them the opportunity to worship Allah without being afraid of any body. May Allah give us barakah and whatever we heard and contemplated and may Allah give us guidance from the guidance of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam. I seek forgive for me and for all the Muslims Allah is the only Forgiving – all of us.”
The Imam of the Masjid al-Nabawi said, “Our Prophet Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam would wish good things whenever he saw a new moon. He will say O Allah, give us barakah and peace of all these months for this moon has come. O Allah, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam used to do dua: O Allah, save us from right, left, up and down, front and back – all safety. O Allah, we seek refuge to be kidnapped from the bottom of the earth.”
Sheikh Al-Huthaifi mentioned, “Life cannot be enjoyed and lived without peace and security. When we lose our security we value our security and peaceful days like we face with the fearful situations and uncertainties for future.”
The Imam of the Masjid al-Nabawi said, “Let us do not transgress or commit against someone, whether Muslims or non-Muslims; any transgression or any harm to others; we need to live and Let live in peace and tranquillity. Those who obey commandments of Allah they never loses us and those who rebel they never beneficious. If we improve our relationship with whole humanity will be maintained automatically; as Allah Subhanahu wa Taala says those who obey Allah and His Commandments they are successful and they are not losers.”
Full Khutbah at Masjid al-Nabawi

Sheikh Ali al-Huthaifi started his Khutbah saying, “Indeed, all praise belongs to Allah. Allah is the Sustainer of the heaven and the Earth. He is the Owner of all the goodness because of His Forgiveness we are saved from the worst torments. Allah is the One who accepts repentance from the people and grant them. We thanks for abundance of Favours from Allah. I bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship except Allah. He he the best of the names, best of the Attributes and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Messenger and servant. He was sent with the truthful religion and he was guided and assisted with miracles. O Allah, send peace and blessings and barakah on Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam and his family and his companions. The companions helped to establish the religion on earth and till the Day of Judgement.
“After the praising, let us remind ourselves that we should be afraid and observe Taqwa with Allah, observe piety and cautiousness with Allah because Taqwa which is the best thing one can attend during lifetime and best thing which can benefit after the death. With Taqwa we gain goodness in this world and the Hereafter. Allah Subhanahu wa Taala praises Muttaqeen (pious, devoted to Allah) and those who observe Taqwa that Allah is the Lord and Friend of those people who are Muttaqeen(pious, devoted to Allah). If people observe Taqwa they will get fed from above and from below. All good results and success is for the Muttaqeen(pious, devoted to Allah). For those people who observe Taqwa Jannah is the result for the Muttakeen(pious, devoted to Allah). Taqwa is a guarantee and security from all the bad things and effects in this world and the Hereafter. For the success on the Day of Judgement we should work hard.
“Let us O People I remind myself and you for the Favours of Allah, for the abundance of Favours of Allah on the humanity because remembering the Favours of Allah gives us abundance and safety from being unthankful, Allah Subhanahu wa Taala says that remember the Favours of Allah may be you are successful by remembering.
“In another place, Allah Subhanahu wa Taala says remember the Favours of Allah, He sent the Books and Messengers and be observe Taqwa with Allah as Allah is aware of all the things. Second Part
“All praise belongs to Allah Who is High and Great. I bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam is servant and His Messenger. Allah sends peace and blessings on Muhammad and his family; they are the first of the Muslims.
“Let us go forward by following the commandments of Allah and protect ourselves from violating and rebellions against Allah and Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam. May Allah save us from the torments of Jahannum which will be the unbearable for all the horrible things of Jahannum. May allah protect us from this. Whatever we have done we are going to face after our death. O Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam be steadfast like other Messengers have done and do not be in hurry for anything. On the Day of Judgement they will reflect on the worldly life and they will see that they had just stayed for few hours of a day.
“Our Prophet Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam would wish good things whenever he saw a new moon. He will say: O Allah, give us barakah and peace of all these months for this moon has come. Dua and Supplication
Let us pray for this peace and tranquillity and peace and blessings on Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam and his family and his followers and believers till the Day of Judgement. O Allah, send peace and blessings on Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam as You have sent peace and blessings on Ibrahim Alaihey wa Sallam. O Allah, grant Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam and his family barakah and growth as You have granted barakah Ibrahim Alaihey wa Sallam. O Allah be pleased with all the four Caliphs after Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam and all the other companions of the Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam and generations following them. O Allah, grant Islam and Muslims prominence. O Allah, give us honour, give Islam and Muslims honour. O Allah, put down Kufr and the unbelievers and unthankful to Allah. O Allah, derogate all the innovations within the Deen; those Bidat which are against the Sunnah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihey wa Sallam. O Allah, put down Bidat from now on and till the Day of Judgement.
“O Allah, grant us Iman and faith in our heart and grant us aid for the rebellion and disobedience. O Allah, we ask peace and tranquillity, serenity and faith in You. O Allah, make this land, the land peace and tranquillity and all the Muslim lands; O Allah, grant us peace and tranquillity. O Allah, forgive us everything which we did privately or publicly You know all things and You are capable of everything. O Allah, forgive all the Muslims, men and women, You are all capable .
“O Allah, save us from the pandemic and infectious disease which we are facing nowadays. O Allah, grant us peace against the uncertainty and security against. O Allah, make our affairs peaceful, better and nice. O Allah, make our eventual return peaceful and successful. O Allah, save us, our family, our offsprings and future generations from all the unpleasant things and satanic influences from human beings and Jinnat. We seek refuge from the bad effects of all our bad actions. O Allah, You are capable of doing all things. O Allah, grant us relief from all our pre-occupations. O Allah, deliver recovery for all our patients and people who are sick and ill. O Allah, save us from the pandemic and other infectious disease.
“O Allah, save our country from the enemies, from those who wish ill for our country. O Allah, save us from the tricks of enemies of Islam and Muslims and the enemies of our country; those who are working against Islam and Muslims in the world. Give us peace and security in our body, in our health. O Allah, empower the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques and his deputies work for the betterment of the country and the people. O Allah, empower them to do what You like better for the humanity and help them for all the goodness.
“O Allah save us from the from the inflation and all the fitnah and trials and tribulations which we are facing now-a-days. O Allah, You are the Most Kind and Gracious. Save us from all the problem and forgive all the people who have passed away during this pandemic. O Allah, forgive their sins and give them the salvation. O Allah, give us goodness in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, grant us rain. O Allah, send us rain, as a sign of Your Mercy.
“Allah orders and encourages us to do good and refrain from bad things and establish justice. Let us remember Allah and remember only Favours of Allah, and the Names of Allah remain Great,” The Imam of the Masjid al-Nabawi, Sheikh Dr. ali al-Huthaifi concluded his Khutbah.
